Copying the file in &quot;Backup&quot; folder on memory card did not work. As someone suggested earlier, the file needs to be in the root folder of the memory card. After that restart phone and follow the same instructions as suggested in this article.

Worked a treat used gparted in Linux Mint 18.3 to reformat micro sd card to FAT32 and copied &quot;backup.dat&quot; to /dev/sdc1 and recognised in contacts settings restore contacts . Very quick . Thank you ,]]></description>

I transferred my .vcf file via Bluetooth to the N130, then connected it via USB to my WinXP PC, at which point the N130 asked if I wanted to connection to be for Charging or Data Storage, I selected data...then Windows tried to install the Nokia but failed but still I could see it in a subfolder F:/ and there was a subfolder for Files Received, I renamed the .vcf to backup.dat   but this didn&#039;t work, so I copied the backup.dat and put it into the root F folder...and then I could see the option to Restore Contacts.]]></description>
