I tried to backup a Windows 2003 server with Acronis TrueImage after changing the destination backup server from an XP to Windows 7 system. The TIB files can become very large. I got some confusing errors like the user credentials were wrong, but they were definitely not.
In Windows event log, event ID 2017 appeared. So I changed the registry keys as described on this blog. Now everything works fine.
